The Labyrinth

How to Play

• Everyone gets the same 1000×1000 labyrinth every day. It resets at 00:00 UTC, for everyone, at once.
• There's no fog — the camera simply follows you at a fixed zoom, like the hedge mazes. Move your ivory marker to the gold marker.
• Ariadne's Thread is a meter, not a toggle: it slowly refills on its own. Your marked trail only reaches as far back as your current thread allows — run it low and you're navigating from memory.
• Spend thread on Daedalus's Eye to pull back and see a wide stretch of the labyrinth around you for a few seconds. It costs 30% of your spool but refills over time, so you can use it again and again.
• Not every gold marker is the real exit. Some are false doors — reaching one pauses the game with a warning, drains thread, sends you back along your path, and stirs the Minotaur. The false door itself stays on the map until you close that message.
• The Minotaur patrols the labyrinth, moving roughly twice as fast when far from you and easing back to a normal pace as it closes in — with occasional bursts of real speed. If it reaches you, your attempt pauses; you'll respawn at your most recent safety-zone checkpoint (up to 3 times), or restart fully from the entrance after that.
• Scattered black doors come in two families, each on its own independent random schedule (never synced, not even to each other). Hinged doors sit on real, normally-open corridors and swing shut for a few seconds now and then, temporarily blocking a path that's usually clear. Sliding doors sit inside real walls — connections the labyrinth never actually made — and slide open for a few seconds now and then, revealing a genuine shortcut that isn't there the rest of the time. Both are camouflaged the same color and rough weight as their surroundings while sealed; the only tell is catching one mid-motion. The Minotaur ignores every door completely — it can't be blocked by a hinged door and can't use a sliding shortcut either, so both only ever affect you.
• Three safety-zone gods are chosen for today, but each one's sanctuary appears several times, scattered across the labyrinth — walls tinted in their color. The Minotaur can never enter one; it can only pace the loop around it. Most grant a buff while you're inside. The exception is Hades' Rift — it isn't safe at all: the Minotaur can follow you in, and your thread drains the whole time you're there.
• Reaching a safety zone (any but Hades' Rift) sets a checkpoint. Getting caught doesn't send you all the way back — you respawn at your most recent checkpoint, up to 3 times per session. On a 4th catch, you're out of chances and restart fully from the entrance.
• The pause button in the top bar stops the clock and every Minotaur in place — paused time never counts against you.
• Move with arrow keys on desktop, or swipe on mobile.
• Come back daily to build your streak.
